Day off of school

Today, Tuesday, I had the day off of school and tomorrow is an Italian national holiday so we have the day off again, so my roommates and I are going to take a trip out of the country. We are thinking about heading to Nice, France for the night. We will be heading off to the train station shortly. It should be a fun time. I will write and post pictures about my trip when I get back! Ciao!

Day in Aosta

Sunday, my roommates and I decided to take a day trip to anywhere that was close by. We got to the train station around 7:30 am and found a train going to Aosta at 8:30, so we decided to be spontaneous and check it out. It was about a 2 hour train ride, and we arrived around 11. When we got there, we were not prepared for the weather. It was rainy and cold and we were wearing capris, sandals, and a thin sweater. Even though the weather wasn’t that great we made the best of the day. We walked all around the cute town and got to soak in the French/Italian culture. Aosta is right on the boarder of Italy, France, and Switzerland surrounded by beautiful mountains. It was a very fun little day trip and would be an amazing place to visit during the winter to ride the mountains. Here are some pictures of my day, enjoy! :)

Night Life

Sorry it took me so long to post something new, the internet here is hard to find! Our second night in the apartment my roommates, Brittagna (from Las Vegas) and Susan (from Australia) and I made a very good pasta dinner. Pictured below :) Then the next night, yesterday, Erica and I went and had very yummy pizza, also pictured below! Anyways, last night was my first night out on the town! Very fun night life here :) Brittagna did the USAC program in Torino 3 years ago and made some friends, so we met them and they showed us around. Here are some pictures of the delicious food our night.

Day 2

Today was move in day to our apartments. I got a nice big one right in midtown so I am close to everything! Currently I am sitting on my balcony with my new roommate watching the crazy Italians go by. What a cool place! Oh and it is very common for men to carry a purse, or a satchel, whatever you want to call it.  I still haven’t posted pictures because my computer is running on no battery and I can’t charge it because I got the wrong converter! So hopefully by tomorrow all that will change and you can start to see the beautiful place I am now living. Until tomorrow, ciao!

Day 1

And so beings a new adventure! I made it to Italy alive with no troubles at all. Every one I met along the way made the flight easier than ever! After arriving in Italy, I met someone who happened to be with USAC and thank goodness we found each other because we would have been lost if we hadn’t. We took a tour of the city, unfortunately I did not have my camera so I will be posting pictures of my new home away from home tomorrow. Well I am signing off, I have been awake for 22 hours straight and need some rest. Ciao my friends!
