Better late than never!
Sorry it has been so long since my last post. My mom and I have been very busy these last couple of days and I have had no time to write. So far we have been having an amazing time. We spent 3 days with our friend Rhonda and her husband Gilles in a little village outside of Narbonne. They showed us a fabulous time in France and we got to see all the local villages and the not so tourist attractions. It was exactly how you would picture the old French countryside. There were miles of vineyards all around with quant little villages. Southern France was such a beautiful place and I look forward to coming back to visit the Northern part as well. On Thursday, they drove us to Barcelona and we stayed there for 1 night. We left early Friday morning and flew into Milano. We spent the afternoon there and then headed to the train station to go to Florence. It took quite a while for the trains to go because of the strikes going on, but after sitting for 1 1/2 hours it finally got going. We arrived in Florence late last night, got to our room and passed out! Today we had a walking tour of the town and went to the museum where the have the statute of David. It was magnificent! We still have 1 more day in Florence then we will be off to Sienna.

Adventures with mom
So as one adventure ended another has begun. My mom got into Torino on Wednesday evening and I got to show her all around my city. We had so much fun and she really enjoyed seeing the exciting life of Torino. We left Friday morning and I said goodbye to the city I became so familiar with. We took the train down to Monte Carlo, checked into our hotel and headed down to the beach. We spent the rest of the day on the beach soaking up the rays and drinking pina coladas. That night we wanted to get dressed up and have one night out in Monte Carlo so we went back down and ate on the beach and then went to check out the casino. It was absolutely beautiful and the casino looked like Disneyland. Monte Carlo is definitely the town of the rich and famous, with a Rolls Royce and Bentley on every corner. Today, we got up extra early and took the train to Eze. When we got there, we were not sure if we went to the right place, but we asked a local where to go and she told us to get a bus up to the village. It was the most beautiful little cobble stone village on top of the mountains overlooking the French Rivera. We walked around the town and went up to the old castle ruins. After spending some time there we took a bus to Nice. We laid on the beach a bit then hiked up to this awesome waterfall. By the end of the day we were exhausted! We probably walked about 3o miles and climbed 1000 stairs. We decided to call it an early night and rest our bodies for tomorrow. Overall, it was such a wonderful day!

Last days in Torino
So my studying abroad adventure is finally coming to an end. It seems like it was yesterday I was getting of the air plan in some foreign country not know where the heck I was going. Though time has flown by here, I have learned so much and met so many new amazing friends who will stay with me for the rest of my life. I am not coming home quite yet even though school is now over. My mom is flying out today to meet me in Torino. She arrives tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. We will be spending 2 nights here in Torino so I can show her where I have been living for the last month then we are heading out to travel around. Our first stop will be in Monte Carlo. Then we are heading down the coast of France to Montpellier and meeting her friend Rhonda and going to stay with her and her husband for a few days. We are then heading down to Barcelona, Spain for 1 day and night. After that we are going back to Italy. We fly into Milan and take the train down to Florence. We will stay in Florence for a few nights then take a train to Siena. After Siena we are going over to Roma to spend our last days there. We have 2 weeks to do all this, which in my opinion is not enough time but we will have to make do. I am so excited to see my mom and I know we will have an amazing time. Don’t worry though, I am not done blogging. I will still write about our trips and keep you all updated. Ciao for now :)
